Arty Birthday Parties for Kids!
Welcome to the Arty Party info sheet. Please find below the details of our Arty Parties at Hands On Art!
What: ‘Arty Parties’ are designed for kids to celebrate their birthday in the company of their friends while making creative projects that they can then take home at the end.
We have a few different options on offer to account for various age groups as well as some additional add-ons such as face painting and henna tattoos. Within the 2.5-hour time frame we make 3 art pieces with a break for birthday cake in the middle.
We have added some age group specific suggestions at the end of this document and we are also happy to accommodate themed parties such as ‘Unicorns’, ‘Fairies’, ‘Superheroes’ etc, where we base the activities and/or face painting around those themes.
Cost: $25 per child (including GST) includes the projects that the children get to take home at the end. We require a $50 deposit to secure the venue space.
Add-On’s: choose from face painting or henna tattoos for an extra $5 per child.
When: We keep Saturday afternoons free for birthday party bookings at the Substation, however the space is potentially available at your chosen time (pending other bookings), so please get in touch to see.
The birthday parties run for 2.5 hours.
We require a prompt bump in, clean up and bump out time of half an hour either side of start and finish time. We provide decorations and a table cloth for the downstairs food table, tea and coffee and speakers. You provide your own food, cake, milk and sugar and music. We ask that you clean up the downstairs space once you’re finished. There is a vacuum cleaner available for you to use.
Where: At ‘The Substation’, 150 Enoggera Tce, Paddington.
Who: We provide 2 professional artists as facilitators, you provide the children (minimum 12 kids, maximum 18). The parents are welcome to come and enjoy tea, coffee and birthday cake in the downstairs space while they wait.
Why: To celebrate your child’s birthday and creativity with friends.
Age 4 – 5 years:
These activities are less structured and more about the enjoyable experience of making art in the company of friends.
The facilitators are there to offer guidance and encouragement. We ask that there are some parents present to assist with the children if need be as this age group can be a little more challenging to keep on track, especially amongst the excitement of a party.
